OUR PROCESS

All of our soaps are handmade in small batches using the cold process method.

By making soap slowly at low temperatures, the natural qualities of the oils and ingredients are retained in the soap.

Each soap is then cured for approximately 4–6 weeks before it is ready to use.

We place great importance on using naturally derived ingredients. We also incorporate herbs and botanicals traditionally used in New Zealand and Japan.

The oils, botanicals, colours and scents are carefully selected so they work gently and harmoniously with the skin. Colours come from ingredients such as clay, charcoal and cocoa powder, while the scents are created using essential oils. The amount of essential oil is also adjusted so that people with a variety of skin types can enjoy the soap comfortably.

Some of our soaps, such as lavender and kawakawa, are made using infused oils.

Herbs are steeped in oil to draw out their natural botanical qualities, and the infused oil is then used in the soap.

Each recipe is thoughtfully developed so the oils, botanicals and essential oils complement each other and bring out the unique character of every soap.

We hope these soaps bring a simple, natural moment to your everyday routine!
